Heavy timber trusses enhance the architectural appearance of any home. Whether structural or decorative, timber trusses truly celebrate the beauty and warmth of wood like no other application. The artistic craftsmanship of heavy timber trusses become the focal point of any space. Like the old European homes we admire, timber frame construction endures for generations.
These wood gables and trusses are renowned for their longevity, craftsmanship, and unique artistic appearance. The use of heavy timber by designers and renovation experts is as much decorative as it is structural.
Based in Atlanta, WOOD & Co. specializes in custom-built heavy timber trusses. We fabricate our trusses according to your design, working comfortably from sketches and photos to help you design exactly what you envision in a hammer beam truss, king post truss, timber frame truss creation, or the use of timber frames. Curved members and decorative details are our specialty, so you will be satisfied with the finished product. For exotic wood species not available in large timbers, and where weight is a factor, we are experienced in fabricating box-built decorative trusses. The finished product looks like solid timbers.

Fabrication
Our trusses are pre-fabricated in our shop to detailed design specifications. Even if components are to be separated for shipping, each joint is pre-assembled to ensure proper fit. CAD drawings are produced for each project for client approval. 3D CAD drawings available, rendering the trusses in your space.
Design
Unique and complex designs are welcomed. Each component is defined in our CAD software for proper fit, and to ensure that the final product is exactly as envisioned. Arched chords and decorative details are routine for our fabricators. Hollow box-built in unique wood species are available, as with this Black Walnut breakfast room truss.
Custom
We are a fully custom fabricator. We can work from your design or assist you to bring about the perfect style for your home. We specialize in curved members and decorative details, including: pegs, chamfered edge, deco steel tie-rods, finials, corbels, and other special features to make your truss unique.
